Outdoor Education
挑战 你自己.
Learning outdoors has the potential to transform. Through our partnership with Outward Bound California, our outdoor education program challenges students with experiences that lead to personal growth and a more unified and inclusive community.
At the start of your sophomore year, your entire class will participate in a five-day backpacking trip in the High Sierras. You will explore the outdoors, connect with classmates, and learn about 你自己. Spending time in the backcountry provides students with a community-building experience, as well as training in stewarding the wilderness. 在你的旅途中, you will learn leadership and decision-making skills, while developing a deeper understanding of your personal abilities.
OBCA instructors are skilled in making sure every participant feels safe and supported in these ventures. 除了, our partnership with Outward Bound will provide various other opportunities to learn outside throughout your four years at Branson.
Drawing on 50 years of experience in experiential education in the United States, Outward Bound California’s mission is to “change lives through challenge and discovery.” By engaging students in demanding situations, often in unfamiliar environments, Outward Bound allows students to develop as leaders while also encouraging self-reliance, physical fitness, craftsmanship, service to those in need and the environment and, 最重要的是, 同情.
